Is walking good exercise?

Walking is great exercise, and can really be a part of jumpstarting your weight loss plan. Now that the weather looks to be getting cooler, this is a great time, to start your daily walking regimen. Get some good walking shoes, remember your sun protection, and carry plenty of water. Remember, force equals mass times distance, so “moving your mass”, over a mile or more, can really help you start burning calories. Also, it’s a great way to keep from idle snacking. That’s a two-pronged approach to begin taking off the pounds!

Egg allergies

If you’re allergic to eggs, it’s now okay to get the flu shot each fall. Let whoever is going to give you the shot know if you’re allergic to any component of the vaccine itself, but having an egg allergy is no longer a contraindication to getting the flu shot. It’s another way to stay safe, and help everyone else, by stopping the spread of influenza!
